If I had read the reviewer from California's opinion, I would not have purchased these speakers. I wanted them to replace my 5.25" (measured across the cone) speakers in my Nissan Frontier. As the other reviewer stated, the total width is 5.25", including the metal rim. Not even close to what I needed. Site should not say that these will fit in a 2001 Nissan Frontier. Should give guidance on how to measure speakers.
